Woodbank Hall

The local Liberal Democrat team collected hundreds of signatures in Woodbank Park in support of making Grade II* listed Woodbank Hall an "Asset of Community Value" to help protect it from being developed as flats... with all the problems that would bring. After submitting the necessary evidence to the Council, the Hall was granted Asset of Community Value status in December 2021

Thank you to all of you who signed the petition and to those who attended at the Town Hall when our petition was presented in support of our case. The current Lib Dem Council Cabinet is prepared to work with local people to find suitable community uses for our Hall, and have pledged to fund urgent repairs to make the building watertight.

The local team are now committed to finding the grant funding which is needed for full restoration.
